The University of Minnesota Alumni Wall of Honor was designed to recognize alumni who have received the Outstanding Achievement Award, the University’s highest award of distinction for its graduates. It also serves as a piece of public art to complement the adjoining plaza. LA ink redesigned this tribute for the University of Minnesota Foundation, University of Minnesota Alumni Association and University of Minnesota Medical Foundation to address problems with the original wall design. 21 bronze tinted, tempered glass panels are carved and painted with the legend and names of the award recipients. The display’s title is screened onto sheet aluminum panels from which the glass panels are offset with solid brass hardware.
