The globally diverse student body of Macalester College is celebrated in the new Athletic and Recreation Center with
a mosaic mural of national flags representing the home countries of its students. This vibrant environmental art
brings life to what would otherwise be an ordinary institutional setting. Using tens of thousands of images from
Macalester College’s communications department, LA ink created 13 eight foot high panels over
430 feet long which wrap around three walls of the new 48,000 sq. ft. fieldhouse.
